As venues in Cambridge for a first birthday party go, Dao Cafe in Trumpington might not have been your first thought - but it absolutely should be! The service provided by Dao Cafe for this special 1st Birthday party was spectacular - with stunning food provided and a dedicated space for Livia and all her friends and family to share this momentous birthday.
Guests mingled, chatted and shared the joy and the children had space a space to play including a toddler slide and books - all organised by Livia's parents. An event like this in a cafe in Cambridge came with its' challenges but I dove right in, utilising the light within the venue to capture each special moment, the guests and the Zhuazhou ceremony. For those of you new to this ceremony it is a traditional activity where parents place a group of objects in front of the child and they choose one. The chosen item is thought to predict the child's future career and personality. It certainly added something special to this Birthday party!
